Fic: Rodeo Clowns 1/3ish

I actually wasn’t going to put this in my continuity, but with the stocks and the investing and the Arc reactor and the renewable energy source… it was just a little too perfect!  Plus it finally gave me something to do with Barricade. Who I guess was somewhere picking his toes for Naturalized.

A little spoilery for Revelation (as this takes ( Read more... )

I have not seen Iron Man, and don't particularly intend to (honestly, I'm still mad at Comic Iron Man for the whole Civil War thing, even if I really should be mad at Joe Quesada, it's just Joe Q's hiding behind Iron Man, see). But this?

This was a lot of fun to read. I like Percy being ethncally ambiguous, and Tony being put off by it.

Also, nice icon! *innocentface*

(Pst, also, it's back-pedal, not back-peddle. You back-pedal your bike, you go backwards (I think). You back-peddle it, you sell it to the guy who sold it to you.)

If it helps at all, film Tony is much more the Ultimates version than the very slappable 616 fascist dictator in the making angst filled bully boy.

*shrugs* If I actually spend money on a Marvel product any time soon, it'll say Spider-Girl, Deadpool, or Runaways. I quit following the Ultimate 'verse a while back. ... Hell, I haven't even watched Spider-Man 2 and we have the DVD.

I managed to wean myself throughly off the MU last year after the mess that was Civil War (curse you Miller, for destroying what was potentially such an incredible concept) but I'll admit to downloading the odd Cable & Deadpool run that I'd be happy to email across to anyone who's curious.

LOL - I see Percy doesn't do humility, but then again neither does Tony if he can avoid it :)

It makes me wonder how businessmen ever get along, really. Though from what I see, it's usually a rather happy slapping of cocks on the table.

"Check out my new Rolex?"

"Oh, that's nice, almost as nice as my new Ferrari outside!"

Ahh don't ask me, I stay clear of all that rubbish if I can help it - as soon as they start reminding me of the business card discussion in American Psycho it's time to go!

*rolls* Heee~

SO glad I wasn't the only one who took up this idea 8D This is me, loving your Tony!voice and the way Percy can be such a wonk and agreeing with caelum that violence can be a lovely thing.

To be fair, it is a disturbingly easy concept, ne? Especially if you take that whole "this is where we got the ideas for robots!" concept and run with it on Tony's end.

Saw Iron Man last Sunday - Loved it! You've nailed Tony (and Pepper & Jarvis) perfectly.

And definitely - Tony/IM & TFs are a perfect cross-over!

Loved Percy's "name" - HtH did he pick THAT one?

Don't let Percy tell you differently- he has a slight sense of irony that he doesn't let anyone see. "Aidoneus" is the Greek name for Hades, who is the lord of the dead, but more importantly, also the lord of wealth. ;)
