From Superherohype...

"We knew from early on that the writers strike could get ugly, and this has got to bring a little sanity to the situation," Bay said. "I can't do the movie without my writers, but I have been prepping. I'm not in the guild, but I've been writing every day. This strike (is) insane, and a director's responsibility is to the 50 ( Read more... )

... Wow.

I wish that man the most sarcastic good luck in ever finding guild writers willing to work with him again. Sweet double monkey fuck damn, you don't do that. Yes, sure, there are other people affected by the writers' strike, but guess what? Actors, stunt men, and probably everyone else in Hollywood belongs to a guild or a union.

Isn't it nice to know he's willing to scab? I mean, I can appreciate a hands-on director, but there are limits.

You know, I really do sometimes wonder how such a douchebag advanced so fast. Don't you have to have some manner of charisma and networking skills of not-pissing-people-off?

Granted, he could just be saying words in order to have words to say. Not wise words, but words.

The military likes him and he knows how to make lots and lots of money? He comes off as very personable in the TF DVD extras, but some of the crap I've heard him saying is just mind-bogglingly... ahgwahfuh?

Seriously, you don't want to piss off the unions. They'll remember everything you say and make sure everyone in the union knows about it, too.
