Real post later..

I promise to write a real post later--one that catches up on everything that has happened recently--including, but not limited to going to my Aunt's funeral last week, getting sick with massive headcold ickiness, and partaking in the truly MONUMENTAL "legalization" party that Mom threw for us in Chicago on Saturday ( Read more... )

This makes me want to go buy a cup of coffee so I can spit it out in disbelief.... A conservative translation of the bible.... the stunning flaws in the logic... can't stop laughing...
Does it even occur to them that if the bible has so much 'liberalism' in it that maybe God and Jesus wanted them to follow some of it?!?

Regarding the first part of your post: You have my condolences as well as my best wishes for your speedy recovery.

Feel better, I was out with a bad heald cold for more than a week.

How is the link you provided different from the normal wikipidea with its horrible left wing bias.

Well.. unless there's something behind the scenes that I don't know about--the "liberal bias" of Wikipedia mostly comes from the "liberal bias" of the general population of online people..

Conservapedia only allows social conservatives and some economic conservatives (as long as they are also social conservatives too!) to write their entries. You can check out Conservapedia's article on homosexuality to see what I mean.. (the second main topic on that page is: "Biblical Statements Regarding Homosexuality ")

In any case--the funniest part about this is that the majority of conservatpedia's social conservatives probably fall under the rubric of "biblical literalists" who believe in a 6000 year old earth and the undeniable truth--but who are now engaged in a process OF REWRITING THE BIBLE THEMSELVES!

So the undeniable truth of the literal word of the bible--inspired by god--is now being re-written by humans from a certain political perspective--and they don't see the contradiction in this..

That's what's hilarious to me..

Did we really need any more proof that man creates god in his own image?
