No direct comment as it isn't an area of knowledge for me (other than salmon being a basic food for me) but rather, a question.... what about catfish? I'd heard that it was being farmed but you didn't mention it.

Tilapia is still a specialty fish here. It shows up but it is pretty new and not well integrated. Personally I think it tastes like generic white fish.
.. it does have a rather bland flavor--but that actually works for me.. because I'm not really that much into the flavor of most fish. Salmon's good--but otherwise--I like it significantly less than chicken, pork, beef, or even well-seasoned tofu...
Thus--the blandness--which allows me to spice it up a bunch--actually works in its favor for me.. :)
In my records (space travelers need records) I have a huge article on a large number of fish and their nutritional values. This article is also focusing on Mercury content and the safety of eating it. Apparently despite mercury contents it is far better to eat them than not because they are amazing nutritionally.
I could scan it or maybe retype some of it if you want more fish food for your brain.
I'm no doctor, but had a feast of wild caught salmon topped with a drizzle of blackberry sauce last night, and it was an amazing culinary adventure :) I will be making this again.

It appears that some are carnivores and others herbivores.. but that the farm fed catfish have the same Omega 6/Omega 3 problems...
Of course--I also just read that farm fed Salmon also start to have this same 6/3 problem--because they substute corn meal for fish protein..
One good thing about Tilapia is that because it is so fast growing--it doesn't have much mercury in it.. unlike larger longer lived fish like salmon..
