Anyhoo, Gabby was with her little group of ghetto friends, right? And they were all talking about and joking and laughing at each other on the walk back to the dorms from the food place. Candice was with them, and at first she was laughing too when they started talking about her, but then they got really cruel... from what I heard it went something like this.
Gabby: *pretends to talk on her cell* Hi, is this the zoo? I've got a beast I want to send over there.
Gabby: Oh, you don't take beasts? Do you know anyone who will?
Gabby: Oh, the trash people. Thanks
Gabby: *pretends to dial number* Hey, is this the trash people? We've got someone who belongs there. The zoo wouldn't take her. Oh, you don't either? Well fuck it.
Then they started talking about how fat and ugly she was, and she was RIGHT FUCKING THERE!!! Then I think Candice lost it and she smacked Gabby in the face. Gabby threatened to kill her and/or beat her up, I don't know which.
Then when we got back to the dorms, I went to the bathroom and heard crying. Now I wasn't here for any of the above shit so I had no idea what happened, but I was pretty sure it was Candice. (And Kim was crying too, over some stupid blond kid with a really small head) And she was telling Kim about what happened, and I caught snippets of "talking about me" and "she was my friend" and I thought "OH MY FUCKING GOD HOLY SHIT SHIT SHIT IT WAS ME OH MY FUCK" 'cause I... had been talking about her a little too to a friend who goes to her school. (because she annoyed me. People get on my nerves easily, if you haven't noticed)
Anyhoo, I kept listening through the bathroom door and Gabby and her crew came in, and I found out what happened. Then I went outside, and when I came back they were like "Oh my god, she FUCKING SLIT HER WRISTS."
She hadn't really slit her wrists-- she had cut them with Fiskar scissors, so it didn't hit the vein but was bleeding quite a bit. It scared the shit out of me; I'd never really seen this stuff before. Yes, I'm a loser. Bite me.
So Candice was too embarrassed to come back even as a commuter (EVERONE knew by now), so her parents came to pick her up and they just left, but not before having a huge talk with Gabby, two counselors, Candice, and both her parents. Joyful fun. Gabby started crying and I actually felt sorry for her, because as much as it was her fault, I can't imagine how it would be like to stand in a room and argue with four adults and one girl whom you've just immensely hurt.
Either way, camp was stupid. The dance sucked ass-- I usually LOVE dances, but the speakers were fucked up. You could hear the beat, but not like the actual tune and words unless you stood really close. Fun. I was dancing, but no one else was, so I got bored and left. Eventually some friends and I went to the game room to play cards.
And people were hooking up everywhere. Yay for thirteen-year old whores and pimps!!
