Link was finally able to relax.  It was the weekend after finals, and what a fine weekend it was.  The sun was bright, with hardly a cloud to see in the brilliant blue sky.  Who wouldn't want to be outside on a day like this?

Most people were out lounging in the deep green grass, reading a book or just hanging out with friends.  Link, being ( Read more... )

Lelouch climbed out of the Gawain after all the tests had been run and his check was complete. He noticed yet another student in the hangar who shouldn't be, this time that same athletic young man who'd approached Hitomi after her vision.

Lelouch wasn't in the best of moods, but he needed to pretend that wasn't the case, just for the small chance there would be cause to use the other student.

"Hello," he waved, his jovial tone masking his annoyance perfectly.

"Oh, hi! Aren't you that guy that Hitomi was talking to the other day?" He certainly looked like the person he had seen, but he wasn't one hundred percent sure, for he had left quickly after he approached Hitomi that day.

"Yes. My name is Lelouch Lamperouge." He gave his tone a regal flair, as he always did when speaking his name. "And who might you be?"

Lelouch was expecting not only to get an answer to the question, but also to make the man feel like this was far more formal than it was, prompting him to state why he was here as well.

Link twitched a bit, but managed to hide it well. This guy was kind of an asshole. "I'm Link. I was just exploring this area and I saw you come out of your...machine. I'm kind of curious about them, so I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about them." Link made sure to keep his voice the same as it was when he first said hello. He had plenty of experience with stuck up snobs at Hyrule Castle when he visited Zelda. They didn't intimidate him.

Lelouch picked up on the subtle muscle movement, but if the man was trying that hard to hide it, it was probably a grudge against the way Lelouch was acting. He did seem pretty backwater.

"I can't speak for the rest, but mine is a KnightMare Frame called Gawain. In my world, the Britannian empire built these to conquer a large number of countries."

It took everything Lelouch had not to look angry about this, but somehow he managed. His light smile was gone though--he didn't want to seem indifferent just as much as he didn't want to look like the war directly affected him.
