The New, Improved Character Survey of Doom
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Eames isn't terribly short, standing at 5'9, but he is built quite wide. Shoulders, chest, a rather tapered waist for his build, wide thighs. All of it is muscle :>
2. How old is he? 34 years old.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? It depends on how he's feeling or the image he wants to present. Generally, he stands in a relaxed straight posture, though if he feels threatened he straightens higher, and if he's trying not to intimidate he will slouch a bit.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? He's in fairly good health, as well as being in shape. No physical disabilities to speak of.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? He moves gracefully when he wants to, very much the actor sort. Or he can move like a bruiser. When he's fighting he tends to be about the economy of movement.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? Good lord have you seen his lips? His body? I would ride that like a horse, thank you.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Tan, actually, and scars here and there, some small and some big. He was in the army, after all. (And don't forget those tattoos, mm.)
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Brown, and it's actually kind of soft, but he gels it to the side and down.

He likes wearing bright colors and patterns, paired with more demure colors like white and tan to make them pop. Frequently of the slacks, shirt and jacket variety. On another hand, he can actually wear suits, and wear them well, though he doesn't tend to bespoke them. And then there are the days he just goes for jeans and a shirt, or a wifebeater, whatever's on hand.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? He speaks with purpose, evenly. He isn't usually at a loss for words.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? He speaks English, German and Italian fluently, Arabic and Swahili capably, and some buzzwords in French and Russian.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? No, since English is his native, he tends to stay with that.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? He's really good about thinking on the fly XD saying what he knows the other person wants to hear.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? He's not an especially wordy person but he is eloquent. He would get inarticulate in the THROES OF AROUSAL but he's also good at dirty talk ;D.

I know fandom tends to downplay his intelligence, but fact is, that man came up with a lot of the concept of Inception and performing and implementing that. You can just know people, but he studies them, learns them inside-out, and with that kind of knowledge you don't just pick it up off the street. But he knows how to act on the street, and in a learned environs.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? He can do both, actually. He prefers having a plan, but any plan will go pearshaped in one way or another so he's good about adapting.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? The decision to steal the PASIV, universally. Giving up what had been his aspiration, essentially, in the military to keep on dreaming really changed whom he'd been before.
14. What does he fear? Being alone - or more specifically people leaving him. He tends to play the trickster to keep them from getting too close, so when they leave it doesn't hurt as much.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? To be the best there ever was.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? Varies.

1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. Close but distant. Mostly because his mother think's he's dead in most of the verses I have. He never knew his father; he died young. Or, he left the family and Eames hates him for it.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? He has two - William and Samantha. (He had one, originally) Samantha is only a year younger than him, William is more so younger by five or six years. He loved both of them (but had a tendency to tease Will, being the baby.)
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? Nope.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? Arthur, he considers something like a brother or a lover depending on his verse. Rheanon, a point he worked with when he first started, he would count as a sister. Yusuf as well, though that right rescinded a bit after Inception.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Yusuf, nominally. Not so much after Inception...
6. Does he have other close friends? Rhea and Arthur are close seconds.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? I don't know if he every really 'makes friends' but he's friendly enough to people, unless he thinks he has reason to be an ass to him.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Depends on the verse! Single in general, taken (by Arthur or whomever you'd like, depending) and even married at points.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Yes, with Arthur definitely. (Ariadne in some verses.)
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? His first crush was a girl he went to high school with; later, Arthur.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? It depends on the partner. Generally he wants someone who will challenge and engage his mind, who doesn't mind his romantic gestures and will let him take care of them.

He's never really thought about it, and generally would say no. When he happens to have kids, he's always happy to take care of them (and in some verses, like cat!verse, desires children.)
