Sorry I was late, I vowed to clean my bedroom to the point where it could be hoovered, a statement that correctly identified as indicating a serious problem. I didn't get out of the house until about 10.00, and didn't get to the pub until 10.40, by which time it was of course empty of people I knew. If only I'd rang ahead..
