Have any of you participated in IM Coeur d'Alene? I am considering signing up for next year, and I am wondering how quickly it fills up. I know for IM Canada, all of the spaces are sold the day after the race to those standing in line to sign up and no places are ever posted online. Is it the same for Coeur d'Alene? I won't be able to go to the ( Read more... )

I dont think this one fills as fast as Canada or Lake Placid, you should be able to sign up online the next day.
I haven't done this particular race but I've heard it's great.

I think it sold out this year on 8/07. The only other US that seem to be open for dyas/weeks are Utah (new) and IMLOO.

I hear IMCDA is nice though. It was one of the ones I was considering but I went with Wisconsin.

I checked your profile to see where you were from because of the Canada/Lake Placid/Coeur D'Alene I figured you could potentially be Canadian - and I noticed you're in Calgary. Me too! Are you part of the UCTC?

IM CDA / CA for Canadians? clint_murphy April 18 2010, 00:25:32 UTC
Did any of you do the 70.3 in Calgary last year?

Wasn't too bad and worth a go.

Where is IM CDA in relation to Calgary / BC as many people I know seem to have done it.

What is the course like compared to IM CA?

I did the Calgary 70.3. I really enjoyed it.

CDA is in northern Idaho. Google maps says it would take about 7.5 hours to drive from Calgary. It's 8 hours and 15 minutes to Penticton, so I guess IMCDA is actually the closer one. Hmm, I didn't realize that.

I've never done either course, so I can't really comment.
