In fiction, the body-swapping trope usually ends with both characters expanding their world view and gaining new appreciation for the struggles and troubles of the other. Unfortunately, those things that are so meaningful in fiction often end up rather lackluster and ultimately insignificant in real life situations. "There was no difference between ( Read more... )

I find it comical that anyone here manages to graduate at all.

But that one goes without saying. Come on. What was dear Gellert here for anyway? Something that actually deserved a punishment?

Read back through his journal. He announced it at one point and asked for feedback.

Graduations appear to be based more on whim than luck.

Moreso now than I used to be. According to my warden, it means I'm acting like a normal person.

Some people are lucky enough to be born normal. Whether that makes them good is debatable, but I've yet to meet very many "normal" inmates.

Gellert was effected by a flood that made him drastically change his perspective on a whim. The flood occurred because a prison ship with no particular destination happened to experience a little dimensional turbulence. Of course, we may be headed towards another port, but there could be an infinite number of ports for us to be headed toward.

Basically, I think floods and their effects to be overall random occurrences, and Gellert was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. Without this flood and the whims that came with it, he would still be here. Goodness alone didn't earn him his redemption.

Bodyswapping? Is that what everyone was complaining about?! And here I thought it was something important.

Some people had issues with the person whose body they were inhabiting. No one likes unpleasant reminders.
