But he could be right? No! You know what you're doing, you know why you're doing it, and you're very devoted to your success. Follow your dreams with your heart and mind.

It just seems wrong. I think more than anything, expressing it here helps me deal with it. I've never had a girlfriend, but I do recommend being honest with her. I myself am opposed to drinking of any sort, but that's just me being a good Catholic:
And do not get drunk on wine, in which lies debauchery,
but be filled with the Spirit,
addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and playing to the Lord in your hearts.

Best of luck.

Looks like the official Catholic site typoed on me -- should be "praying" from Ephesians 5:15-20, last Sunday's second reading.

Do what YOU have to do with your life. If you pick a different road right now, then you'll never know what could've/might've/would've happened with a theatre career. So what if maybe someday you crash and burn? There will always be ways to fix things and people to help you.

I think you and I have had these conversations multiple times, so I'm sure you already know where I stand anyway. SO...you know the number. Don't worry about the time. I'm ok being woken up by you freaking out about something...just give me a few minutes to become coherent. :-)

Miss you...

No worries - once when I was dating David his dad pulled him aside and lectured him about how I was a nice girl but too distracting and not worth his time. He basically made it clear that he thought I was somewhat trashy and not good enough for David. I was "asleep" on the couch at the time. Sheesh. I think disapproving of their child's significant other is just a thing that parents feel obligated to do.
