Another RP update

Not much else to talk about, lol.

So, here's the latest, we Rp'd again Wednesday, but I've been too busy to be on the comp, till now, we Rp again tomorrow.

Fearing the unknown swordsman, they locked the teleporter, and waited nearly 2 weeks, in this time, Landon taught the heros a few things, the general history of the world, he taught Azure about Runeology, not enough to be a rune master, but, the basics of what runes were what. He also taught Rhoadin about the golems, the elf tinkerer was inexaustably curious in the ancient technology, to a tinker, a robot of such design was likely incredable.

Also during this time, Oniryu and Xander trained, Staff against sword, they clashed many times, Oniryu often being the victor of their sparring, but he never let it get to his head, they kept up their training, worried of the unknown man.

Each feeling a strange pull, they leave what they were doing, and head to what was once a locked room, but is now quietly obviously opened, into a large audatorium, a stage set with faint lights, and windows, a large stone tablet set upon the center of the stage, Leknaat's disembodied voice rings through the air, telling them, this is the Tablet of Destiny, upon it, are the names of heros that will aid them in what they must do, peering over the tablet, the group is astonished to find that Oniryus name, is not listed, leaving them wondering what that could entail for him.

After they hadn't seen the swordsman for a few days, they decided to split up, and see what they could find, Oniryu and Rhoadin decided to explore the now unsealed ruins beneath, as Xander and Azure, their relationship growing closer, decided to head to the far off town of Muse, to warn them of the swordsman, were he not already there.

Thinking it wise, Rhoadin asked Gregory the kobold to come along, and Xander likewise, asked Camille to travel with them.

Going deep under ground, Oniryu and Rhoadin eventually came to what seemed an alter glowing with eerie light, behind it was a chest that Gregory unlocked, and, no one objecting to it, took the reward inside, a basic earth rune. Soon after, Leknaat appeared, explaining the glowing pedastal was the place the True Rune, that Rhoadin held(he'd taken it from Camille, in exchange for the Unicorn Rune) and that many of the True Runes were sealed the same way, just as Rhoadin was about to ask a question, a blade pierced through her chest, she smiled, somewhat sadly, before disappearing, and an evil laugh filled the room, it was the swordsman, he'd hid in the shadows down there, hoping they'd come, he hadn't expected for Leknaat to appear, but, it only serve his goals further, taking the front of the True Gate Rune, he attached it unto himself, surprising everyone there, Even introducing himself as Jasreich, before he used it, and disappeared

Rhoadin, Oniryu and Gregory, fearing the worst, rush on to Two Rivers, where they hope to find Xander, Azure and Camille. Going as fast as they can, they arrived in the middle of the night, while Xander had gone to talk to Azure, to wake her up, for her guard shift, Rhoadin, Oniryu and Gregory, fearing the worst stalk along the town, across rooftops, Azure and Xander hearing the sound from above, rush outside, weapons drawn, an argument between Xander and Rhoadin, who almost attack one another, Rhoadin leaves and goes to relax at the elders home, Oniryu approaches the half elf and explains what had happened, how seeing Leknaat slain before them, had caused much stress and worry, then seeing no one guarding the front, only adding to that fear, Xander begrugingly goes to Rhoadin and apologizes.

Daybreak comes, and the group journeys northward, coming to Muse fairly quickly, before they are halted and told to leave, archers along the towns walls, and a familiar face, Jasreich standing amongst them, it seems a nasty rumor of a small group of warriors from the south had laid waste to the Yggdrasil to the south, burnt Warmhaven to the ground, and turned Two Rivers to a ghost town...

The party departed southward, and rested in Two Rivers for the night again, deciding, if they couldn't warn Muse, and its occupants, they'd head south, and go to the root of the attacks, rushing southward, they bypass the ruins, still worried Jasreich might be following them, giving him a bead on where their stronghold was, would be a terrible mistake.

They arrived in Warmhaven, with no one to be found, at least, no one alive, charred bodies, piles of ash and numerous signs of battle littered amongst the town. Azure, fearing the worst, ran to her fathers home, finding his crumpled corpse, barely recognizable, the group, mourning the loss of the village, set about burying their friends and families, though, oddly, the body of Tobias wasn't amongst them.

In the middle of the evening, a strange tingle caught Rhoadins attention, feeling something approaching, he awoke the others, leading them outside, fog had settled in, rolling in from the north, fearing the worst, Xander and Rhoadin sought shelter, hiding amongst the charred remains of the towns buildings, Azure behind a tree, Gregory ducked behing a building as well, and Camille hiding in the only intact building left. Oniryu, putting himself out there as bait for whatever was coming, awaited in the center of the village.

The fog rolled, swirled and coalesced into a form, the shape of Azures father, he told the group that he'd done all he could to protect them, even giving his life and the lives of his villagers, to protect them, Tobias had disappeared amongst the attack of the one man. The party identified him as Jasreich, disheveled by the appearance, and explantion, his form soon faded, apologizing he couldn't do more, speaking of a light he now saw he hadn't before, and within moments, he was gone.

Unable to sleep, they set out before the rising of the sun, about mid-day, reaching the base of the Elven Yggdrasil, the bark was burnt and black, footprints all over the place, a few barefoot prints, leaving the group to assume the elves were taken prisoner, only one body remained around the foot of the tree, a woman Rhoadin recognized as the woman he was to wed, before he was outcast. A single arrow, with a red strip along it, two white, the only clue Rhoadin had.

Committing her body to a pyre, and unable to rouse the tree to open, they left southward still, encountering a new, fearsome beast, a Hydra.

A terrible battle ensues, the party finally able to defeat the beast, with Azues use of the True Dragons rune power, Rhoadin, getting the help of Oniryu and Xander drag the large Hydra corpse to a shadowed area, to perform his vampiric abilities on, seeking to broaden his available allies. Reviving the beast and telling it, that it now served him, it agreed and followed behind him, the elfs idea, to use the Hydra to break the bark hiding the entrance to the elven Yggdrasil, so he could go up into the tree he'd once called home, to determine what had truely happened. Whether the elves had been captured, or alongside the scorch marks on the ground, around the trees base, met an untimely fate.
