I saw that interview -- I was impressed -- you just don't see that kind of discussion often. I have this feeling that the smarter politicians (not including Huckabee, *grin*) know what is right and what is wrong with respect to gay marriage, but only act in their best political self interest, because no one has stepped up to convince the majority of the nation yet.

Anyway, hi! Merry Christmas to you! I'm glad you're settling in there in Michigan (from your other post) and I hope you have a nice long work break this Christmas! ...speaking of which, I need to get my unpaid leave forms filled out, stupid company, grr.

My parents and Matthew are coming to NJ tomorrow! My little apartment will be a little overrun, but I've spent a lot of time getting things ready for them. I've been so swamped the last week ro two, between that and work. WIsh me luck! They're staying till Jan. 3... I hope we don't kill each other! :)

I loved that interview! Another great moment was when Jon said that semantics are "cold comfort." Huckabee replied that semantics "are important," totally missing the point. Important != comforting.
