Oh Miss Trina. Be very very careful about interupting what people say through email and IM's. I have gotten in more arguments that way, because you can't tell what the person means because there is no inflection. Don't fall into that trap! If you want to email this guy, go for it. Either he will email you back because he wants to, he won't email you back. I think you are being silly though. He may just have trouble knowing what to say because of how well you guys know each other. And if you want to go to school in NZ just go!!! I know you've calculated costs, I know you've worked to save money. Do it now, get your degree, come home and just accept that you will have a lot of debt and may not be able to do something like that again for a long time because of it. Or stay here and work and get a degree here, save money, and go visit NZ for a month instead of studying there if the programs here are better/more affordable.

trins,

let me respond by saying that, as women, we *always* overanalyze *everything*. it's in our DNA. let me also state that the e-mails sent to you (from men... is the professor a man?) weren't written on some deeper level. men don't think like that. as a general rule of thumb they write simply and don't think of the many many many ways it might be interpreted or misinterpreted by the female kind.

and about grad school.... you do what you want. you're going to be slammed with debt at some point (house, cars, kids, etc.) you might as well invest it in something worthwhile. like, yourself :)

muah! feel better.
