Sam's character grown has just been awesome. I love him dark. Hope they bring more Dark!Sam in S6.

Me too. There was a scene in Jump the Shark where he is talking about how being a Winchester means Adam is cursed. That is my favorite Sam. He had pretty much given up on anything good.

I loved that scene too... loved everything about Jump the Shark, actually. Good episode.

My favorite shot of Sam is in Born Under a Bad Sign right after he shot Dean and he's smirking as he looks out over the dock. Dark, creepy, sexy... guh!

i adore him, bb. my mother (Dean-girl extraordinaire) says "you only love him because you like 'big boats'" wink-wink, but no. there's something very lovely and unusual about him. every mistake he makes, every evil deed he does, comes from a place of goodness. that's really rare to see. usually the "anti-hero" has no moral compass or a moral compass that's so faulty, he might as well not have one. in this case, he's always thinking of the "greater good" and that leads him down paths he never thought he'd take.

i love Sam a lot, and i know a lot people lost some of their Sam-love when he became an addict, but i think that just gave him even more nuance. made the inner conflict get to FUBAR proportions.

you know, i don't think i've ever read a addict!Sam fic. i think i'll go find me some. :)

Exactly. Everything he did he did for good. It may have backfired at times, but he was never evil. He never wanted to hurt anybody.

Jared surprised the heck out of me in season 4. I was shocked at how good he was at portraying Sam's addiction and downward spiral.

God, I LOVE Sam. I adore his character so much. He's the epitome of "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions", and he truly thought he was doing good; he was saving people, but losing himself.

Sammy <3
