Thanks so much for writing this! S5 has so much Sam hating in it, it breaks my heart. It's so good to see someone understanding that it wasn't his fault, that he was just as much a pawn as Dean and had fewer options. It's a shame there's nothing like this in the ep, because it's so very Sam.

Finally read it. Wonderful scene. Poor Sam! Sam didn't get much face-time with Mary during the episode, so this was a nice moment to imagine.
