You want to avoid foods that cause upset in the baby. Some baby's can not tolerate it when a mom drinks milk, or when a mom eats spicy food. So if you have a gassy baby, cut things out of your diet to see if it helps. THings that help supply are Oatmeal, oatmeal cookies, anything oatmeal. also if you are having supply issues a half of a can of non alcoholic beer will boost supply. Make sure you are drinking LOTS of water, and nurse on demand. DO NOT USE FORMULA. For every bottle you give the baby, your boobs will think it doesnt need to make as much milk. Your boobs work on supply and demand, the more the baby nurses, the more it makes. If your baby doesnt nurse as often (drinking bottles) your body thinks it has to make less milk, and it creates a horrid downward spiral. breastfeeding is a great community that will help you. read through it, learn as much as you can. If you need ANY help please let me know.

I went to the Breastfeeding support group at the hospital where I had Courtney at, today and she hasn't gained any weight. She is supposed to be back at her birth weight by 2 weeks, and she's that age now and that isn't the case.

I am now to take "fenugreek" and "thistle" for supplements and for my milk supply to get up there since it's not.

when are you going to be online next? I would like to talk with you!!
