Thoughts on our new city

So it's been 9 months since we moved to Sacto, enough time that some of my thoughts on living here have had time to gestate. Here are some of my impressions of the City, good and bad, in no particular order

So happy to see you posting your thoughts about your new home here! This is fascinating--all I knew of Sacramento before was that it's the state capital and it had a historic railroad. Even where I live it's a joy when it's clear enough to see the mountains, and to have the Sierras so close must be kind of amazing, though weird after living so close to the coast for so much of your life. Heh, the living on alluvial deposit thing must be interesting. Also a bit worrying seismically, but at least it sounds like the big faults are far enough away not to cause you too much trouble. Best of luck staying cool. Are solar installations a big thing in your area?
