My PC has been sitting, borked, under my desk since October. I've been meaning to fix it for ages now, and I've come to the point where I'm wondering if I should bother at all. I originally built it as a gaming rig, but I've been doing mostly console gaming lately (not that I have been doing that much gaming lately anyway

I'm in a roughly similar situation. I'm going to either upgrade my tower and make it my main gaming rig, or get a new laptop and just use my tower as a server (might need to add some more HDDs). I think we both have spent too much on prettying up our cases to just give up ;)

Quite so. I have a lovely Lian Li case and a bunch of pretty lights, I can't just give that up now!!
