I don't know what you could possibly find funny about someone who has been through an awful experience and is strong enough to do something like this in an attempt to educate the youth so they won't make the same bad decision he made. I guess you've been lucky enough to have never seen a loved one battle a smoking-related illness, because if you have I guarantee this wouldn't be funny. You really should be embarassed of yourself for laughing at someone who is trying to help others. You sound extremely immature. I happen to think it's a very well made commercial and I can admire the "cowboy" for trying to educate people.
actually I have never lost a loved one to a smoking -related illness...one that is self- inflicted I might add- which really doesnt help my callous image I have aquired. I have however, witnessed first-hand the pain and sufferings of Cancer as I am a one year survivor myself. I have mo sympathy for those who cause their own problems. I have lost more than anyone should close friends to horrible tragedies- car-crashes, AIDS, parental neglect, spousal abuse...the list goes on and on. I am sorry If I am "immature" I just was amused, as a person who studied music, that they got the proper key on the guitar.
it just amazes me that someone with such clearly defined morals doesn't have the balls to put a name behind their preaching...firstly we are all entitled to our reactions (and please spare me the part where you compare this to a racist statement i should be offended by) and secondly, as a smoker...it's pretty clear by my Dutch cigs warning of "Smoking is Deadly" (they don't sugar coat in europe) that I am putting myself at risk...i know that and if something happens i need to be held accountable and i will have to deal with that consequence...so despite the fact that i am validating this ridiculousness with this response...people really need to get over it...it was funny..admit it...tragedy and suffering (which many of us who laugh are constantly aware of) is sometimes funny...it's the only way to deal with it...
