oh i'm so happy for you! it's an achievement in itself to have reached 9 months! try not to fret so much about work. i'm sure you won't be worrying too much about that shortly though. you're going to have someone else on the brain! i wish you all the luck in the world.
It seems like time is going by so quickly, like it was just yesterday you found out.
A couple of my coworkers went on paternity leave last year and while it was only a month and not a year, it still felt like a long time for them to be gone. And our boss just kept stressing that whatever happened while they were away would happen and get taken care of, and that they shouldn't stress and worry. I had to take on one guy's projects, and while it would have been so much easier if I could have asked him certain things, it all got taken care of :) It might be a bit difference for you since D works with you, but just keep telling yourself: "someone will take care of it, someone will take care of it.".
I am doing the classic trick of feeling so overwhelmed that I am paralyzed and end up doing NOTHING.
I HATE THAT.
I think that your fears are valid in that if you weren't concerned you would be a huge freak, but that it will all work out swimmingly in the end. Just take things one day at at a time, it's all you can do.
Wow - 37 weeks IS a huge milestone. But it does suck to know that the baby can come anytime now, but won't likely come for what seems like an ETERNITY. You'll spend your last week of pregnancy going quietly mad
