[personality] Johann is the calm center of the storm that is the Trinity siblings. It's as though they are one personality split three ways, and he got all of the cool-headed attributes. Where Michael is aggressive and loud, and Nena is straight forward and a little flirty, Johann remains calm, cool, and collected. When they meet with Celestial Being on their ship, where Michael reacts to their questioning with the desire to fight, Johann smoothly brings him to a halt and calmly answers all of their questions and doubts (even if the answers aren't what they want to hear; if he's not allowed to say something, he won't say it). It is with this attitude, combined with his position as the eldest of the three siblings, that he controls his wilder siblings. Johann is the only person in the world who can control Michael to any degree.
He knows, though, that in order to maintain order, he has to allow his siblings to have a little bit of fun every now and then. Even though he is a strict, by-the-books kind of person when it comes to missions, killing only those who are the mission objectives, and destroying only that which he is told to, he still allows Nena and Michael to enjoy themselves. It is this adherence to the rules that he abstains from joining Nena as she attacks the wedding in Spain. And after leveling the Union's MSWAD base, though he wants to retreat, he does allow Michael to counter attack when they are accosted by the base's mobile suits. After the destruction of one of the suits, however, he orders their retreat, and Michael begrudgingly goes along, proof of how much his word is law amongst the three.
But through his indulging his younger siblings' greater thirsts for blood and killing, one can see that he is embraces the role of the protective oldest sibling. Though he was unable to stop Ali Al-Saachez's attack that killed Michael, as soon as his brother goes down he orders Nena to get into her suit and run away. He takes the fight with Ali on himself in the hopes of buying his sister enough time to get out of there, even though it also costs him his own life.
Johann is also an excellent marksman. The unit that he pilots, Throne Eins, specializes in long-ranged attacks through its rifle. The gun can be used either as a sniper rifle, or it can be used to emit a powerful laser beam. This laser grows in strength, as Eins is transformable. Both Zwei and Drei are able to dock with Eins to enhance the laser's strength. He is also knowledgeable and capable of using hand guns.
[orientation] Johann is most likely as asexual as can be. There's nothing in what time we see him to indicate that he has any desire in romantic entanglements at all; instead he is focused on his work as a meister. (He is not, however, Gundamsexual, like certain others in the show.)

His arms are folded over his chest and his eyes are closed in thought. It almost looks like it could be an accidental video post when he opens his eyes and looks directly at the camera. ]
This is Johann Trinity, requesting more information. It seems that the owner of this house has told me all that they seem willing to divulge. I know that I am in a town called Ukiyo, apparently to fulfill a contract I only vaguely remember agreeing to, and I know that this device is used to contact others who were brought here.
[ He pauses for a second, lets out a breath, before he continues. ]
Michael. Nena. If either of you are here--
[ Another pause and he tightens his jaw by degrees. Is it too much to assume they're even alive? He knows Michael... ]
--contact me immediately. I'll need to be filled in on anything else I wasn't told. If they are not, I ask to be pointed in the direction of any reliable information.
[ And he reaches forward, silently turning off the device. ]
[sample 2#] It should be no problem to go through with this. The act of sex isjust one of those human functions that everyone participates in. Johann has never felt the urge, himself; never felt the need to take someone to his bed and lie with them. Despite that, being forced to do so in this place isn't something that upsets him. If he has a contract, then he's obliged to fulfill it, no matter what may be asked of him, and it's not as though this is entirely unfamiliar territory (a certain brother of his was very vocal about these things). It's his own fault for agreeing to it in the first place.
He stares down at the woman laid out on the bed beneath him, down at her eager anticipation. Apparently his foreign looks are something to be desired, a desire that lead to her purchasing his time. Johann hovers over her for a moment before reaching down to untie the sash around her waist. He pushes the fabric open, exposing her body to him, and for the first time feels a small stirring. It may not be an activity he would go out and seek for himself, but he may as well make the most of it if he has to do it.
Johann reaches down and cups each of her breasts in his hands, thumbs running over the nipples before he lets his hands drift down over her skin, tracing small scars and the natural curves as they move. He's nothing if not attentive and methodical, and he spends a good amount of time simply touching her before he finally leans down to place soft kisses between her breasts. As long as he thinks of this as his new "job", everything is made easier.
