Not just you. Also, Charles would want the sparkly pink cover because he likes pink and so far I've managed to shelter him from the pink = girly = inferior programming.

I am not the only person T spends time with...I am pretty sure he must have been blocked off pinky stuff at some point...*sigh*

i can't say that i'm particularly emotionally affected by this -- mostly out of lack of surprise

i was trying to find a set of beads for kids that was not sparkly pink & lavender and that was hard, though :)

It is a weird idea. I doubt anyone here would disagree with me...but I think there's no reason why boys shouldn't be brought up enjoying stories about fairies and princesses just as much as girls can be brought up enjoying stories about knights and dragons and wizards... (I assume the theme of the girls'/boys' books divde roughly along those lines.) It seems so odd to impose gender on to stories like that in general!

I'd be interested to see the contents of the two books and see how they compare, actually.
