I'm surprised my parents haven't been more clingy, but that could be because I'm not moving out immediately when I graduate. Well, unless something dramatic changes.
It's still a big moment for them, though. I feel funny going back Saturday because I've only been here since Saturday night, not the usual Friday night. But I think they understand how this all works...that I really do have another family back at school, and while my real family will always be there for me...the other family's going to be broken up in short notice, at least in the physical sense.
Another thing my parents told me: "Thank God you guys have things like AIM and e-mail." Lets distance in our friendships become less of an issue. Nothing can replace close physical proximity, but the online connections we share are as good a direct link to our emotions as we can get.
