I had a free afternoon... Richard had a free afternoon... my period started yesterday.

I dunno if this is the issue, but most men don't care if you're bleeding. It just means more clean-up. In fact, if the woman orgasms while "on the rag", it shortens the length of her period. Oh, and sex is a great, amazing way to get rid of those painful cramps.
