Oooh. This is so interesting and good and thinky that I can't really explain just how deeply I enjoyed it. I will, however, say this:

If someone draws Rodney in Athosian garb and Teyla in a lab coat with messy scientist hair (and possibly glasses?) I will DIE OF HAPPINESS.

SO VERY MUCH ME AS WELL. Someone with skillz needs to make this happen.

this is just, just, so cool! I love how you inevitably take the scifi/fanfic trope and turn it on its head, say something new and different and smart.

also, thank you for the images of a) Teyla in a lab coat and b) Rodney in a sleeveless leather vest. I will treasure them.

*flails* I am totally awed. I love it so completely I can't even try to describe. I thought it would be fun if they are in each other's roles, but this was way beyond my wildest dream and just mindblowingly, utterly awesome. It's also funny as hell, wonderful, and the first half was bizarre in the very best kind of way. The way they exchanged, or fused with each other and then turned back into themselves, it was so elegant and perfect and the whole thing was just- *LOVES SO HARD* Thank you so much! (and extra thanks for the pinch-hitting, too. *g*)

So great! The not!Teyla and not!Rodney scenes were entertaining in that Keanu-Reeves-y "whoa..." way, but the real story is after they switch back. I love the idea of them walking a mile in each other's shoes, and even more that they learned as much about themselves as they did about each other -- it was particularly moving to see Rodney recognize the beauty in his passion and competence when he sees it from the outside. Thanks for this!
