See, I was worried it would be the "awesome female team gets picked off one by one" episode, except only one of them dies. The other three have at least one near-miss/fakeout apiece sure, but they're all alive at the end, and 3 out of 4 surviving is actually a pretty impressive ratio for a non-SG1/SGA1 gate team on this show.
You're right though that the Beckett/Porter flirting was incredibly boring. I decided early on that she was just humoring him so as to avoid outing her girlfriend, Sgt. Mehra.
Yeah, I think I got worried they were going there early on and it soured me a little, even though that wasn't how it actually turned out. But I'd still so much rather have had more sci-fi in my sci-fi show.
I support your theory about Porter/Mehra. I think every team should have at least one secret couple. ;-)

I got through it (and the rest of the episode) by constructing an elaborate Porter/Miera femmeslash backstory...
Also, I fear we may have to wait even longer than that for McKay/Keller resolution.

And SGA wins at emotional continuity again!
People need to write a lot more fic, man.

Just kind of? At this point I'd happily send them kitten poop.

And yes, good lord how boring Beckett & Porter were. So completely pointless. As was the whole episode for me, in fact. ::yawns::

Pointless is the word. Or, musically, "I think this one is mostly filler!"
