They’re worried about him, he knows. It gets tiresome but there’s nothing he can do about it. He tries to keep the window gazing and sighing to a minimum, but he can feel their eyes on him at dinner as he drives his food around the plate at fork-point.
“You feel like something’s missing, don’t you?” Hermione suggested gently. “I would expect that’s natural, now that your arch nemesis is gone.”
“Yeah, you’re like Holmes without Moriarty,” Ron added, looking rather sympathetic.
“I’ll be fine,” Harry assured them. “I just need a new crusade.”
Hermione opened her mouth.
“NOT S.P.E.W.!”
