"Mandy love, I'm home."
Normally Mandy greeted him when he came home from work or there was a note floating in the entranceway. But not today.
Listening for a moment, Terry heard movement upstairs. Taking the steps quickly, he saw the bathroom door slightly ajar. Terry gingerly pushed it open to find his normally healthy wife red-faced and kneeling on the floor. "What wrong?" He asked kneeling beside her.
"Nothing." Mandy said quietly still trying to catch her breath from the last bout of nausea. She grabbed her husband's hand. "Nothing at all. Nothing could be more right in the world....Dad!"
"No! Absolutely not. Do you remember how crazy those girls drove you with planning for the wedding!?"
"I know they did, but this is important, something the baby can look back on and see that people were happy that he came into the world." Mandy argued.
"The baby isn't even born yet! When she is, we won't need a baby shower to show her how happy we are."
Mandy looked at him sadly. "I wish I'd had proof that someone was happy I came into the world."
Terry sighed, knowing he'd lost. He wrapped his arms around her. "I'm happy."
Dear Professor Flitwick,
I hope life at Hogwarts is going well this term. Even without your favorite physical defense teacher We are happily settled in Sydney near the archives, thank you again for Terry's letter of reference.
I am writing to share with you some very exciting news. Terry and I are going to have a baby! We're thrilled but also have a favor to ask of you. Would you consider being our child's godfather? You were such a good house parent to both of us while we were young at Hogwarts. We know that our child would be lucky to have you in its life!

Thank you for contacting us to coordinate your baby shower. We've never planned one before! Do you know what kind you're having? We need to know if we should use pink or blue. Please let us know how many guests will be in attendance. As Professor Dumbledore has been kind enough to let us use the great hall for most events there can't be too many! Here is a list of Saturday dates for early next year, note that they are filling up rapidly, so you might want to pick one soon.
