Thanks! Me too ... I knew taking the job was the smart choice, but I wasn't as sure it was the choice I wanted to make. I'm really glad now that I took the chance.
Create a custom group (under Friends-other friends tools-custom friends groups). Then when you view your friends page, view the custom group instead (using the filter friends page tool). I, for instance, don't always want to see all postings to all the comms I belong to, so I have a "without comms" group that is my default friends page. But you do have to select it each time. Easy to do, and you get used to it.
To activate the filter, just go to your friends page as usual. You'll see a box at the top. It'll have a drop-down menu, and your custom groups should appear there. Select whichever one you want to use, and you're good to go. :)
