Sorry about the deleted comments -- I didn't read through your whole post. Have you considered buying/renting the videos and a huge TV and hosting your own marathon?

Should've added that some friends recently bought a projection television and set it up in their basement. The picture was huge and extremely high quality. It was even better than going to the theater. Maybe if you bought one for the hubby, he'd better tolerate the HP invasion for a week. ;D

I actually have all the films on DVD and we have a fairly large TV, so I can do my own marathon if I don't find an in-theater option. The thing is, I didn't start reading the books until after Sorcerer's Stone was in the theater, so I missed that one other than on DVD. I really, really wanted to see it in the theater once at least.

I know what you mean. I didn't get on board until after I saw GoF on HBO. So I missed the first four in theaters. It would be fun to see them all that way. But, alas for me, too. The nearest AMC theater is in Atlanta -- 3 hours away.
