Ah yes, I forgot to tell everyone that I'm working on my 5.9's in climbing now. Which is pretty freaking awesome for those of you who don't know. I was talking to this lady at the gym yesterday who said it took her 2 months to do a 5.8. I did one my second day...

So, the climbing scale ranges from 5.5 (which is like, one of those baby climbs you do at the mall and stuff) to 5.12-5.13, and there are varrying degrees of those. Those are really difficult with overhangs and stuff. So most people it takes about a month to two months to be able to work their way to a 5.8, and I did one my second day. I did 5.8's for about a month, and am already on 5.9's and probably in another few weeks I'll be at 5.10's. Work those for a few months and I'll be up to the same level as my boyfriend, who's been climbing for a couple of years. So yeah, just needless to say I'm doing overly well.

yeah but your boyfriend hasn't been climbing consistently for 2 years :P. Half the battle is endurance and being in shape for the tougher climbs. Also being in practice with your techinque. I can't do crap above a 5.9 at the moment... when I used to do 5.11 like a cake walk.
