I guess I get the part of your point that (if I read you right) fanaticism is annoying as hell. I agree. What I haven't come across yet is a large enough group of Catholic fanatics to make such a blanket statement. And if there WERE such a large group reported to me, I still could not form an opinion unless I saw them myself, because I would trust the media that brought me the story of their antics as little as I would trust the news or Mel Gibson. I probably won't see the movie, 'cuz I kinda already know the story. At least it's labeled "art" and not "news". Yeah.
i didnt mean it as most of them.. i meant most of the people i have come in touch with through my life and experiences.. i wrote it really quick and just kept typing without thinking much.
i get your point!! yeah!! i haven't watched the movie and i really don't feel like doing so.
Today i was talking about religion with a friend of mine... what really annoys me is the fact that a LOT of catholic people try to convince you that having a RELIGION is one of the most important thing i life... some are sooooo fanatic that they don't accept your beliefs, they want to drag you to their side...they don't want to listen to you...they are right and you are wrong! It REALLY pisses me off. I am more spiritual than releigious. i was raised catholic but i stopped going to church because i believe you don't have to go to a place(ie.: church), if faith is inside you. I don't need to show people what i believe in. i totally get your point.
i told the secretary at the school i work at that i light bonfires in my kitchen every night. She told me i was going to hell. Okay..she is a catholic person who prays, goes to church...but says horrible things about people behind their backs!! haha..hypocrisy..YES!
haha totally dude.. i also was raised catholic but one day realized i was raised on fear and being scared all the time.. and then i realized that my faith was weak and didnt wanna half ass it.. now im agnostic.. and we'll see what happens as life goes on.. but i dont wanna half ass it through any religion.. i doubt that im gonna go back to the catholic church tho.. my dad wants me to look into buddhism but we'll see cos thas his thing.. but at least he's not pressuring me like my other family.
so what's it like living in new york city? i've always wanted to know but i know no one who lives there. (btw i found your lj by trying to search for interest triphop but accidently searched username)
