Arboretum visit Part 2

Jun 01, 2009 16:39

Steve and I went to the Arboretum to take a look at the garden. It was mostly so I could take a look at the "front" part of it, and also so Steve could see the hilly area that my mom and I saw last week. I think the front area will work for the ceremony also. It's about 36 feet square, so I think (*really really hope!*) that 150 chairs could fit.

So, this is the main area. It is in front of the hilly area that I have pictures of in my last post. I think that the we could stand right in front of that bench, with the guests all on the grass. I think we would have to have the chairs in straight rows with no center aisle. Not positive on that though, it will definitely depend on how many people actually attend.

this to the right side of the garden.

To the left side.

A little closer... the trees in the background will all be the gorgeous fall leaves, so it should be really pretty.

This would be from the back corner. If we end up being able to do the ceremony in this area, this is where I would proably enter from. Its on the side, and has the advantage of being paved!!! So I don't trip, hopefully, which I might do on the grass. I'm talented enough to trip on flat ground over nothing...

So, all in all, hopefully when we set up a meeting with the coordinator at the arboretum, we will be able to see a full ceremony set up for the garden. I mean, obviously, how do they plan it otherwise? I just don't want the older folks we're inviting to have a hard time going up and down the hills.
