[Drabble]
Subject: Kaito and Bass-chan (aka female Bass)
Summary: What if Bass had always been a girl instead of a guy? How would the relationship with Kaito be different?
Author's Notes: Inspired by the early parts of this plurk, which posited the question "If Bass were a girl, would Kaito flip her skirt?" This drabble's the end result. XD
Kaito smirked to himself as he strolled alongside Bass down the sidewalk. The two of them had been hanging out the entire day, just some time between two friends. But it had been poking at him all day.
The temptation to flip that skirt she was wearing, of course.
Oh sure, his robot buddy was well... a robot for one thing, if an incredibly human one. And she would likely turn fire on him if he even tried it- okay, so that only made him want to do it more. Putting poker face back in place he paused to examine a newspaper machine they'd just started to pass. Bass walked on for a few more steps before she noticed, stopped, and glanced back.
"What is just so interesting, Kaito??"
"Oh nothing~" He glanced up at her and grinned. "I'd just noticed Kid on the front page, that's all."
"Tch." Bass looked away with a grunt and started walking again. "You and your ego."
Kaito snickered to himself as he slinked along after her. "Oi oi, like you're one to talk Bass-chan."
Without turning around she had started to make a caustic reply, but was stopped short when hands slipped up the outsides of her thighs, followed by the tell-tale breeze caused by a northward skirt. By the time she'd whipped around and gotten off a shot from an arm cannon Kaito was gone from the space, precariously balanced on top of a parking meter not far away.
Oh, and laughing.
"Green isn't your color, Bass-chan~!" He cackled again and ducked another blaster shot, springing to the sidewalk and moving backwards. Bass let out a yell and charged after him, chasing the laughing magician back the way they'd just come. More missed shots punctuated his teasing shouts over his shoulder.
"I think you should try purple, it'd match better! Ooh I got it! How about blue!"
