during aaa training in providence, they made it sound like i wouldn't be able to access any websites except for those involving aaa, travel, airlines, etc. but i guess my computer isn't being watched by big brother because so far, i've had no problem wasting time on myspace and facebook and now...livejournal ( Read more... )

and the calories thing. since you also burn a ton of calories just by doing everyday things like like walking around, sitting, and sleeping, you can definitely eat more than 500. i think for the average person, eating < 1200 calories will lead to weight loss.

yeah, after i wrote the entry i looked it up online. so apparently one pound of fat = 3500 calories. and the average person burns about 2000 calories a day, which i think is crazy because you only burn like, 30 calories an hour sleeping/standing/sitting and stuff. but apparently when you add up all the normal metabolic stuff your body does and stuff like breathing and blinking, it comes out to about 2000. so if you want to lose a pound of fat a week, you have to burn 500 more calories a day than you consume. so like, if i burned 650 calories this morning, that means my body will burn around 2650 calories today so i can eat 2150 calories a day and still lose a pound of fat a week.
