More and more I am being led to see how incomprehensibly vast, convoluted and conflicted this world that we live in is. I was at a bookshop today, and the sheer number and array of books overwhelmed me. I became very subdued and a little shaken by all of it. Every headline and title and book cover was screaming for attention, and all of them had some claim to fame or another. Every book seemed to be the best book of the year. Every book seemed to proclaim the gospel truth. Every person writing seemed to be some famous person. it was very disorienting.

Yes! I always get scared at how I'll never be able to finish reading enough books, or if there's gonna be some undiscovered author with a book hidden in the most obscure place and I'm never gonna read it. or that someone else will. Projected envy.
