I loved the original version of this show. I watched it on PBS Mystery Theater more faithfully than Buffy even. I've been trying to watch the American version on USA. But it's the same darn story. Literally...word for word sometimes. And, in the first episode..I swear they used the same actor to play the bad guy. I wish they would have just ( Read more... )

I haven't seen the original but I am very fond of the US version. It probably helps that I have nothing to compare it to. I have heard the British version is superior. My hope is if TE gets picked up for another season by USA it will begin to differentiate itself more from it's source material.

I like the actor they have chosen to play Creagan (sp?) I didn't think anyone could live up to Robson Green, but this guy is making the part his own. I'm watching even though there isn't any suspense (although last night I fell asleep so I have no idea where this weeks epi left off.) I'm hoping it gets picked up for next season too.

Well at least they didn't outright kill Rivers (who was named something else and died in the original) in this episode. I went and looked up the website of both the original and the USA version. It was fun to look at how things were twisted around a bit.
