I swear, the one person

Everybody complained about Lavina. Everybody insisted she was the problem  here.  I can see their point but my problem was always with Carlisle.  I do not want Carlisle around.

So the following was written on a "pro" Mary/Carlisle post (I am gonna have to go throw up)

After Downton, Glen ‘slums it’ on fringe with Chekhov
From Highclere Castle to Notting Hill. There is life after Downton Abbey for Iain Glen, the Scottish actor who plays Sir Richard Carlisle, the self-made new-money character in Julian Fellowes’s upstairs-downstairs period drama. He will be rehearsing as Uncle Vanya in Chekhov’s play at the Print Room in Hereford Road early in the new year.
The big question for Glen’s fans is whether this will conflict with future appearances in the recently announced third series of Lord Fellowes’s popular drama. “I’m not finished with Downton yet,” he tells me. “I’ll be in the Christmas special. As for the third series, I couldn’t possibly comment, but I can see no problem with availability.”

Now I know it was rather obvious he will be around for CS.  But this makes it sound like he will easily be in S3. And if he's  married to Mary, I am gonna have to quit DA.  I refuse to get into that scenario.  I refuse to watch her sleep with him.  Either she will be forced to sleep with him or she will want to sleep with him.  Either scenario makes me want to strangle JF with my bear hands.  Carlisle has been portrayed as a controlling dickhead who is NOT interested in Mary at all but a means for improving his own self image.  Her life will not be one half of a "power couple".  Her life will be regulated into making HIS LIFE better.  Am I the only person who can see that?  I can live with people not wanting  Mary with Matthew. But Carlisle would be dooming her to hell.
