There is a new Sharpe movie! That I didn't know about! So cool. I'm such a fangirl, OMG, like, OMG, Sharpe! And a new book coming out! Like *swoon*

Wow, there are a lot of Sharpe movies and I'd never heard of them before.

Well, there are a british TV series. I don't think it was ever brought over here. Each of the movies is like 1.5 hours so not your standard 30 min/1 hr length. I really enjoyed them. Nice mix of war/action/romance/etc. Historical fiction that follows the career of Richard Sharpe. I read the books first so when I watched the movies I had a better sense of the characters to begin with. It might take a couple of movies to really figure out who is who and all. Or read the first book or two that will give good background info. The books read quick, like brain candy.

Mmmm... I would like to get them all on DVD... I bought them before they had DVD editions out. But that is a purchase for another time. I will probably get the new movie on DVD though.
