I have to leave for class in a couple, so this will be quick. I did in fact arrive in Stockholm safely. It has been wonderful except for a bad cold/bronchitis, but I'm slowly getting over that. Classes have been pretty good. I'm wondering how it will all go, since I have been told anecdotally that the classes will be easy, then the exams brutal...

It's good to hear that you're doing (mostly) well!

I once worked on a Swedish version of an English website with which I was familiar, and I found the same thing - I was able to figure out the meanings of some individual words based on similarities to English.
