It's taken half a year (due to other things being made, but you know that if you're a knitter), but I've finally finished my red and black a.k.a. "Rogers High School" prayer shawl. The edging in black was a major pain in the butt, as you need to twist the yarn to keep it together with the main color in the middle, oherwise you'd get a big gap ( Read more... )

I've started again at the book store on Oc tober 15, months after Covid closed everything down. There are about a 167 rules for cleaning in the store, but you expect that. I thought I'd show some before and after pictures from when I started 2 years ago (also started in october, by a weird coincidence).

I dreamt I was walking up a small brick bridge in town. I was wrapped up in a comforter but no clothes underneath (not sure there was even underwear). A woman came walking up to me, she seemed to be homeless, too, and was a little shocked by my feet being bare on such a rocky road. Forget the pods. They utterly sucked, so I planted green bean seeds directly into the ground, which are now currently flowering. The pumpkins are coming long, flowering. I had no idea that they'd flower so much on one vine, making me wonder if I'll get more than one pumpkin per vine.

I may try just putting the seeds straight in the ground like I usually do, because this way was for the birds. I got seeds/pods/mini pots from Stop & Shop. The pods are horrible. Sure, they rose instantly with water, but they were also hard as a rock when trying to put the seeds in. I was afraid I might break the seeds, honestly. So while I try ( Read more... )

I've fenced in a smaller plot that I usually have. I'm sort of doing it in reverse, digging the land up after I've fenced the plot.
