I am sure Maddy is brilliant....in her own way. Kids progress at different levels. We had a patient in recently and his seven month old daughter was walking all over the office. Yes, walking. I could go on a long diatribe here but I will spare you that. The daycare versus home debate has gone on for many years. There are advantages to each. Daycare is often a necessity. And from my observations (teaching grade one for many years), it usually all evens out. I guess the best thing is to choose what's right for you, if you are lucky enough to have a choice.
