It sure has been awhile since I have written anything here. Life has gotten so hectic. Or maybe it's just me that has gotten hectic. I seem to have this tendency to get totally absorbed in things for period of time then never finish them. I've often thought that I have a case of ADHD. Hi Trish, I have found what works is to schedule times of the week for different kinds of projects. The night before garbage day for me is a great time to clean the house. I sem to like Monday mornings for doing administration work. Sunday nights are good for planning the week. Instead of trying to cramp up time, make blocks of time for specific kinds of activities. And professional writers and artists have told me they block very specific times for their craft. Stephen King, the writer, commits himself to ten pages a day beginning in the morning and eneding sometime mid afternoon. He says his wife is instrumental in supporting him in this and doesn't interfere with his owrk and does errands for him during that time or whatever is appropriate. His time doesn't get sucked up into anything but writing during this time. Family support is crucial for an artist or it isn't worth getting married. Even when looking for a mate, I look for these attributes of knowing how to schedule. Someone recently drew me into his life because ( ... )
