Unbelievable

Nov 10, 2004 22:03

I have been feeling so tired when I get home from work, and the last two days, I barely wrote before hitting the sack. But I think going to bed early two nights in a row was a good thing, because today, I hit 20k! And not only that, but I did it by writing 2,000 words on my lunch break today. In less than 50 minutes. Yeah, I'm pretty stunned.

Thanks! I think I was highly motivated, my husband is currently pushing 30k, and a few of my writing group buddies are all about even with me (eg see casaubon below), so I can't let them all beat me!

How's your writing tonight? I hope you're getting some done. You were fairly on target last time I saw a wordcount.

And I'm glad you like the icon *g*

You and me are running a close race (I'm at 20054). But I'm kind of skimming by on my great lunchtime write today, so there's your opening to widen the gap in your favour.

Nah, I'm going to spend most of my writing time doing plotting today, then get an early tonight.
Then aiming for 3-4K on Friday night. :o

I've realised that writing to a good plan (as opposed to vague ideas) is much more efficient. :)

heh. Are you really going to do it this year? Aren't you headed to Wamerica soon? I mean, I know you're capable, but this procrastinating is a bit fraught with tension - at least for those watching from the sidelines!

Oh yes, that reminds me, please eat lots of turkey and mashed potatoes for me. It will be my second thanksgiving in a row that I am missing :(

I saw this post and was spurred into writing a bit more tonight.

So thanks for pushing me past 20,000. Nothing like a bit of competition to get me writing.
