Feath also listed countries she's been to, and I will, too - in order of first visit:
US (lived in, many many more visits)
Canada (x 2 or 3 different visits)
Italy (Milano, for 4-5 days)
Ireland (Shannon, for 5-6 days)
France (Paris, for 3 days)
England (numberous times, currently living in)
The Netherlands (Amsterdam, for 3-4 days)
Wales (several dozen drive-throughs and day trips)
Scotland (x 3 visits, including 2 different weeks in Edinburgh and a long weekend in Glasgow [and it felt longer than it was])

The reason I have been in so many states is because the East Coast has a lot of states, and I've driven to Florida - from New Jersey - at least twice. Done numerous driving visits all along the East Coast, too. My family were big on road trips. The longer vacations were in Pennsylvania (every summer when I was younger), Vermont (several camping trips), Connecticut (my dad lived there for a while), Florida (grandparents live there), Rhode Island (road trip!), Washington DC (family vacation), Virginia (family vacation), Massachussetts (friends moved there), Delaware (conference) and Arizona (long trip to see the Grand Canyon). I listed two stopovers above, and two "tips" which meant I detoured briefly through a state, just to say I did.
