I'm quite happy with my results so far - wordcount wise anyway. The plot leaves some things to be desired. I'm going to have to deal with that at some point. I thought it was tonight, but suddenly it's nearly half-midnight. Where did the time go

Deal with plotholes after November, or when you've hit 50.000 - whichever comes first.
Besides, they might not turn out to be plotholes after all....

It's not so much the plotholes as the fact that I'm just sort of treading water - because I don't have any idea where the plot is going (hm, except for the Happily Ever After required of all romance stories).

You're not that far behind me; I'm sure you'll catch up in no time at all!

Somehow, treading water, I tend to eventually uncover new ideas - some of them even good.
But ymmv, of course. :-)

Yes, I'm still ok wordcount wise. I"m comparing too much with last year I guess, when I had a great big head start after the first few days.
