With three days in hand...

...I am tentatively declaring the beast slain. I've made PDFs (so as to preserve my pretty not-on-the-PC font), emailed a massive zip file to every email address I've got, backed up onto large and small portable hard drives, and am hoping to print out, bind and submit tomorrow. I'd cheer but I don't quite believe that it's done ( Read more... )

Yay! That certainly sounds like the fat lady is warming up in the wings.

Which Master's are you going for?

Women's Studies at Ruskin (probably); they only run one cohort at a time, the course is two years, and my timing's off. There are other options I could do this year, but they don't appeal as much.

By the way, I'm afraid I won't be able to make Thursday - I've been (forcibly) reminded of a prior-tentative-arrangement. Sorry :-(

Oh, I didn't realise that they only took one cohort at a time. I'm still considering that one, so I shall bear it in mind (although at the moment I'm inclining more towards the MA in English at Brookes).

Sorry you can't make it, but there will be other theme days, I'm sure!

I briefly considered that one, for obvious reasons, but I probably don't have enough of a lit background, and it's not really what I want to do. There's a distance learning (online) linguistics MA at, I think, Nottingham, which is my other main option, if I decide I can't bear to wait a year :-)

Die, beast, die.... (don't forget to clean your sword afterwards - beast blood can leave the devil of all rust-marks.)

Well done!

Heh. If I didn't have a very new, ahem, 'sword' already, I might be inclined to take this as an excuse to get a new one ;-)

Yay! Go you!

Hope you give the brain a nice little holiday of R&R before the next bout of stretching.

The brain is going to get its R&R with a lot of reading and knitting and spinning that I've been making mental lists of and then putting off to avoid distraction - my to-read list is getting ridiculous :-)
