Ooh, they're lovely.
I had my lovely bright green dockers out during the snow, which made me remember just how much I miss wearing Doc Martens!

I wear DMs all the time, and I love them, but these are the first hard-leather ones I've had in a while, and I'm remembering just how much I hate breaking them in!

God, yeah! I used to wear DM shoes and breaking in the top of the heel was always very bloody affair. :(

How many holes?

I was torn between the shiny and the non-shiny variants. My original pair were non shiny. As you know, somewhere in the packing are the shiny ones.....

Fourteen. These don't come in shiny (well, they don't come in non-shiny any more - this is 'vintage' stock), but I have a pair of shiny eight-holes as well.

When I implied this was a boot emergency I may have been exaggerating ;-) But I do prefer the tall ones with zips for everyday wear.

Haven't had a satisfactory stockist since "lace-ups" went bust.... and I have tried, but NEVER found any with zips.

I can't remember if we're the same size or not - if not, it's not really a problem!

I do like the teal ones in the same style as yours!

There are some lovely ones there, aren't there? The top ones - red with gold stars - I very nearly bought for my wedding. Sort of wish I had, actually.
