Oh good. I've been meaning to post it for a bit, but things have been crazy. I'm so looking forward to this though.

Can you let me know more about the anthology (e.g., preferred length, stylistic/editorial preferences, etc.)? I have a novel fragment that I could probably work into a short story before the 29th.

Well I can't say I'm sure I'd be comfortable with something in the heavy horror range. But Science Fiction, Fantasy, light romance are all welcome (no heavy erotics). I've received everything from 300 words to 10k. I'm intending to base on strength of the story and welcome a few long ones if I have space. The only thing I really want is that it not be traditional. I want a twist, a change, something different. No sparkles, no sighing and helpless females (unless there's a good joke in there). It doesn't have to be funny, but you can if you want.

Does that help? Any other questions?

That's exactly what I needed- thank you! I'll see what I can put together by the 29th! Don't worry. The sparkles will be played for painful laughs.

Preferably as a jar of glitter labeled Edward Cullen's ashes.

I'm still interested but I'll be honest I did forget. I'm not sure I could get anything done in time but I'll look at what I might be able to come up with.

Please do try. I'll allow a bit of an extension for someone who's just not quite there but is seriously trying and close. Just let me know what's up. Honestly, that's part of why I gave myself six weeks to pick the stories. A little leeway for everyone.

I have a few older stories I can look at as well, revamp (no pun intended) a bit. Is there a link to the original post? I'm hazy on what we're considering a 'twist'.

My original post is at http://triskellion.livejournal.com/82812.html

But as for the twist, my goal is just something different. Come at things from a different angle. If you want more information, email or PM me. I know if I go on too long I'll start talking about some of the stories I've gotten already and I don't want to talk about those on public space just yet.

Hello! Mundungus42 told me you were still looking for contributions. Is this still the case, because I have an idea!

Yes, I am looking for a few new stories. I have about 35k worth of words, but it's not really worth making a paperback unless I get 40 to 70k. You see my dilemma. So if you have an idea for a twist on vampire myths, I'd be delighted to have a look. And feel free to run longish. I won't turn anything down on length as long as the story suits the length (I've got a bunch under 4K, but I'd love some more over 6k. 10k would be delightful). Let me know how your idea develops.

Hello! I'm about half-way through a first draft which will run to about 3k, I think. Sorry it's not longer. But you never know, the vampire bunny might bite again.

I won't turn down a good story because it's a bit short. Let me know when you're ready to share it. Or if something else grabs it by the throat and tosses it away, demanding to be written instead.
